Vera “Pauline” Lynch

Vera “Pauline” Lynch, 89, of Solon, passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016, at Solon Assisted Living Village.
Funeral Services were held Monday, Nov. 7, at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Burial was held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. A visitation was held Sunday, Nov. 6, at the funeral home, with a luncheon following the committal. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Pauline was born March 31, 1927, in Hamburg, the daughter of Robert and Thelma (Harris) Ozenbaugh. On Aug. 19, 1947, she married Cleo L. Lynch at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Iowa City.
Pauline worked over 30 years in the dietary payroll office at the University of Iowa. When not working, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading and spending time with her grandchildren, Jordie and Nicholas.
Pauline is survived by her two loving children and two grandchildren, Rod (Kim) Lynch of Osage Beach, Mo. and Deb (Dave) Johnson of Solon and their children Jordie and Nicholas; and her sister-in-law, Bernadine (Marvin) Goody.
She was preceded in death by her husband Cleo; her parents, Robert and Thelma; one grandson, Colton and her sister, Mary Badger.
