Top Shelf Volunteers

The Lohman family proves volunteering can be a family affair. John and Aspen have been volunteering at the North Liberty Community Pantry, along with their two children, Quincy and Lucy, for about three years now. The entire family stocks shelves in the pantry during evenings. “The stocking is simple, but an important function for the pantry,” John said.
The Lohmans saw volunteering as a fun and productive way to spend time together as a family. John and Aspen also think it’s important to demonstrate early to their kids that volunteering is something that everyone should do.
The Lohmans want the community to know volunteering at the North Liberty Community Pantry allows flexible scheduling. “Volunteering can be done on a monthly or more frequent basis, and can be done individually or with an entire family.”
When the Lohman family isn’t volunteering at the pantry, they are on a quest to visit all 50 states. “So far, we are at 44, and counting,” John said.
Thank you Lohman family for keeping the shelves well-stocked, so families at the Pantry get the best variety and selection as possible when shopping.
