Great American Backyard Campout June 22

NORTH LIBERTY– The Great American Backyard Campout is Saturday, June 22, all over North Liberty or at any campground.
Join fellow North Libertians in a backyard community wide campout. The event will be held Saturday June 22, (rain date June 29) as part of the nationwide Great American Campout. To register, stop by or log onto www.northlibertyiowa.org and sign your family up. Registration is $10 a household. Simply submit your name and what elementary school boundary you live in. The night of the campout, take a picture of your camping setup along with the flyer to prove you went through with the campout. Any type of camp is accepted including campers. The elementary school with the most people submitting photos will win a donation of 70 percent of all money taken in for their school’s PTO/PTG. Along with the donation, everyone submitting proof for the event will be invited to an end of summer party at the outdoor pool. Make sure you keep your eyes open for staff members of the Recreation Center. They will be out from 6-8 p.m. handing out prizes to a few lucky households. Donations are also welcome to be made towards the reward pot.
The winning school will have money donated to the local PTO/PTG. The following schools are included: Van Allen Elementary, Buford Garner Elementary, Christine Grant Elementary, North Bend Elementary and Penn Elementary.

Photo evidence must be submitted by 6 p.m. July 5. The winning school will be announced Monday, July 8. The fee is $10 per household and the event is held June 22-23. The Pool Party is Aug. 10, from 6-9 p.m.
