Creek Boys earn WaMaC honors

CCA’s Moore a unanimous WaMaC First Team pick

TIFFIN– Three Clear Creek Amana (CCA) varsity boys basketball players earned WaMaC athletic Conference honors following the release of the 2018 All-Conference Boys Basketball teams.
Darius Moore was a unanimous WaMaC West First Team pick, along with Benton Community’s Spencer Touro, Sean Geertsema of Independence, Gabe Shields from South Tama and Brandon Blythe of Williamsburg.
Jordan Wolfe and Tyler Schrepfer earned Honorable Mention in the WaMaC West.
South Tama’s Dustin Peska and staff took Coach of the Year honor.
The Clippers finished the 2017-18 season with a 9-13 record overall and a 6-8 WaMaC West showing under second-year coach Brandon Clubb.

WaMaC West First Team: Darius Moore.
A senior, Moore led the Clippers with 435 points, averaging 19.8 per game with a 45.4 percent field goal percentage. He made 62 percent of his free throws, made 66 assists, had 45 steals with seven blocks. Moore forced 93 turnovers and grabbed 114 rebounds with an average of 5.2 per game.
WaMaC West Honorable Mention: Jordan Wolfe, Tyler Schrepfer.
A senior, Wolfe scored 135 points for the Clippers with an average of 6.1 per game and a 39.1 percent field goal percentage. He made 62.5 percent of his free throws, had 44 assists, 24 steals and four blocks. Wolfe forced 38 turnovers and snagged 63 rebounds this season for an average of 2.9 per game.
A sophomore, Schrepfer scored 181 points with an 8.2 points per game average and a 35.4 percent field goal percentage. He had 40 assists, 24 steals and forced 64 turnovers. Schrepfer grabbed 57 rebounds with an average of 2.6 per game.
