City of North Liberty commissioner vacancies remain to get involved

NORTH LIBERTY– After a series of commission appointments on June 9, several vacancies remain. The commissions and boards make decisions about a host of issue facing the community: what can be rezoned, if a variance to code should/can be allowed, priorities for public parks and recreational amenities, and much more. Volunteers are needed to lead and advise on the commissions. Applications are due July 7.
Applications are available online at northlibertyiowa.org. Completed applications should be mailed to City Hall; c/o City Clerk; P.O. Box 77; North Liberty, IA 52317; in person at City Hall or email to tmulcahey@northlibertyiowa.org. Iowa State Code requires cities have gender balance on all boards and commissions. With appointments and reappointments, gender balance is considered. Applicants must be 18 years old and a legal resident of the city.
