Ellen G. Walderbach, 96, of Anamosa, died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the Anamosa Care Center. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Surviving are her two daughters, Phyllis Fiala of Solon and Kris Walderbach (Warren) of Cedar Rapids; five sons, C. Richard (JoAnne) of Anamosa, Bill (Jane) of Colorado, Bob (Bonnie) of Anamosa, Tom (Ann) of Arkansas and Mike (Gayla) of Arkansas; a sister, Georgia Kuhns of Marion; 20 grandchildren; many great- and great-great grandchildren; special daughter-in-law, Judy Walderbach of Hiawatha; and two nephews, Bill and Dan Storie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; two sons, David and Ralph; a brother, Sonny; a son-in-law, Harold Fiala; and three grandchildren, Douglas, Jeff and Angie.
Ellen G. Walderbach was born Dec. 14, 1913, in Jones County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Carl and Emma (Westphal) Grabbe. On June 21, 1932, Ellen and Raymond Walderbach were united in marriage in Jones County.
