Defense pitches shut out, holds Indians to 100 yards
MARION As the Spartans varsity football team traveled to Thomas Park in Marion on Friday, Sept. 13, the machine shed mantra south of Solon begged the players, Send em to the Spirit World.
Solons own version of the Young Guns did not disappoint, trampling the Indians, 44-0, in nearly a spiritual manner.
Solons scoring began early, during the first possession, with 9:51 remaining in the first quarter. Cam Miller sprinted up the middle behind solid blocking for 11 yards and a score. Cael ONeill kicked the extra point and Solon was up, 7-0.
