OXFORD– Clear Creek Amana (CCA) superintendent Tim Kuehl said it’s a no-brainer.
“We need to get going on something. We have the money, essentially, so we don’t need that approval. We have overcrowded facilities, now we need to figure out step one and take care of that.”

NORTH LIBERTY– North Liberty police uncovered the pre-cursor materials for a meth lab in a North Liberty apartment building last week.
On Thursday, Aug. 8, at approximately 9:46 p.m., a North Liberty police officer made contact with a subject near a vehicle in the parking lot of 40 Sugar Creek Ln. in North Liberty. The female subject reportedly had outstanding arrest warrants. During the contact, officers discovered material used in the manufacture of methamphetamine, including pseudoephedrine. Additional pre-cursors were believed to be in the apartment at 40 Sugar Creek Ln. #202.

NORTH LIBERTY– No longer limited to ink and paper, Iowa’s public libraries are spending increasing amounts of money on new technologies, such as eBooks and iPads. The number of computers in these libraries increased 76 percent from 2003 and 2012.
But it has come at a cost.

TIFFIN– The Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association recently announced their 2013 all-district teams for Class 3A. Clear Creek Amana’s A.J. Liddell was named to the first team, Southeast district as a utility player.
A senior, Liddell had a 6-4 record pitching and a .357 batting average. According to information available on Quick Stats, Liddell put up six doubles out of 30 hits and had 17 RBIs.
Liddell was the only Clipper named.
